About

My work has entertained, educated and engaged millions across broadcast and digital platforms, spanning preschool series, comedy, social campaigns and marketing videos.

I'm James Herbert, a UK-based editor with 20 years of experience, including a decade helping to create award-nominated (and winning) children's animation.

I believe great editing is about creating connection, frame by frame. Whether working in 2D animation, 3D animation or live action, I combine storytelling, technical expertise and the thoughtful use of emerging technologies, including generative AI, to craft content that captures attention and inspires action.

I'm a collaborative editor who thrives in creative teams and enjoys turning ambitious ideas into compelling stories. Based in Lewes, East Sussex, I work remotely with studios, agencies, brands and production companies.
